PTSD

Today something extraordinary happened. I reached out to a homeless man on the street. We shared some stories and I learned he was struggling with PTSD. He looked up at me and said”Do you have time to talk” “I sure do” I replied. We had a lovely conversation I bought him a sandwich and a cup of tea. All he wanted was to feel accepted instead of being shunned by this cruel world. I made helped him to feel accepted, and learned something about him and myself. Let’s all be kinder and gentler in our approach to the homeless and people with mental health disorders.
